Hesse, Grand Duchy. A Landwehr Long Service Clasp, Ii Class Newly Listed A 1939 Potsdam Gautag badge(Landwehr Dienstauszeichnung II. Klasse). Instituted 8 June 1871 by Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig III. (1871 913 issue). Constructed of magnetic metal, affixed to a bronze backplate with a horizontal pinback and period original length of ribbon, unmarked, measuring 44 mm (w) x 34 mm (h), in very fine condition.
