Instituted May 6th, 1934 by Baldur von Schirach. (1938 1944 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with black enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel wreath surrounding a black enameled disc, overlaid by a Tyr rune bearing a central mobile swastika, within a circular ring bearing a raised inscription of Fr Leistungen in der HJ (For Merit in the HJ), the reverse with a raised barrel hinge, vertical pinback, and
