A Ceylonese Ebony & Specimen Wood Occasional Table Architectural H:24 W:24 D:2 CMA Ceylonese Ebony & Specimen Wood Table after a design by Thomas King. The hexagonal top centred by a swirl of specimen woods including palm, satinwood and various specimens of ebony with a roundel to the centre surrounded by chevron banding and a frieze drawer on scrolled foliate base. Losses to the specimen wood inlay. The design is published in Thomas King's The Modern Style of Cabinet Work Exemplified, London, 1829. H: 73 W: 47 D: 47 CM H: 28. 8
