An 1838 Medal For San Sebastian To Staff Assistant Surgeon J.b. Godfrey. British Legion Auction was awarded the 1914-15 StarWhite metal disk set within a thin silver band, engraved "J. B. GODFREY, M. D. &c. &c." on the band, 38 mm, pierced ring suspension with original ribbon, contact marks on the reverse, pitting, very fine. Accompanied by a four page handwritten List of Medical Staff who served during the Carlist War, naming Staff Assistant Surgeon J. B. Godfrey on page two. Footnote: The Medal for San Sebastian 1838 was instituted on October 24, 1841.
