Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a central raised number 8, circumscribed by a raised inscription of FR
