A Latin cross constructed of silver, the obverse with an oval silver medallion depicting a lion holding a shield, surrounded by a ring of blue enamels inscribed BAYERISCHER KRIEGERBUND DEM VERDIESNT in silver, the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback, marked Deschler & Sohn, Mnchen 9 on the reverse, measuring 41. 85 mm (w) x 50. 50 mm (h), weighing 21. 5 grams, in overall near extremely fine condition.
