Globe-Wernicke Lawyer's Bookcase c.1940 side chair One of these is crackedABOUT This is an original WWll era modular four stack Oak lawyer's bookcase with Bakelite knobs and glass doors that open and slide in from the top. The whole piece is modular consisting of 6 pieces: the top, the bottom and four cabinets that all interlock. The cabinets and the base have original "Globe Wernicke" stamp and label. CREATOR The Globe Wernicke Co. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c. 1940. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Oak, Glass, Bakelite. CONDITION Good.
