Constructed of lacquered dark brown wood, the lid bearing a hand painted shamrock flanked by monogram style initials HC, opening with dual functional hinges to reveal a hollow interior, the lid riveted with a bone plaque bearing a handwritten makers name of HANS ZIEHMANN, PRISONER OF WAR, fastening closed with a functional snap button, measuring 14 cm (w) x 8 cm (l) x 7 cm (h), an excellent example of POW trench art crafted by a
