A well preserved Wehrmacht (Heer issue) field knapsack, constructed of a multi piece olive drab canvas frame with brown leather reinforcements, with the flap retaining a mostly intact cowhide liner, with shoulder straps fitting over the top and locking onto D rings emanating from the lower edge with functional spring clips, opening to reveal a hollow interior, the top leather reinforcement bearing a makers mark of GEBRDER
