Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Crossed Patte with ribbed arms, the obverse with a central monogram of Friedrich Wilhelm, the six oclock arm with a date of 1914, the reverse with a central medallion bearing an inscription of TAPFER UND TREU (BRAVE AND LOYAL) inside of a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 41. 86 mm (w) x
