Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, around a central depiction of a monoplane flying over a rural landscape, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, etched with a recipients name of LT. FESKE and a date of 3. 9. 17, maker marked C. E. JUNCKER, BERLIN, with a
