A striking and extremely well preserved desk eagle, constructed of a blackened bronze alloy, consisting of a German national eagle executed in exceptional detail, with its wings fully outstretched and perched on top of a jagged rock formation, with the obverse of the rock featuring a flat surface likely intended to accommodate an engraved commemorative dedication, affixed to a rectangular pedestal featuring a paper liner to mitigate
