Claude St Aubin is the illustrator. With an accompanying illustrated summary written by Canadian military historian Mark Zuehlke, including maps and illustrations. Niigaanwewidam James Sinclair has also contributed the afterword. The story begins in 1864 and follows the Loxleys, a Canadian family living in the Niagara peninsula
