A Reichsnährstand Hesse-Nassau Meritorious Sheep Breeding Medal consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 7 mm (w) x 84(Reichsnhrstand Medaille). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised depiction of a sheep, the reverse bearing a central raised Reichsnhrstand insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of REICHSNHRSTAND LANDESBAUERNSCHAFT HESSEN NASSAU, unmarked, measuring 38 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
