A unique and well preserved museum exhibition example of the Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross, of two piece construction, consisting of an eight pointed radiant gilded silver star, overlaid by a 1914 Iron Cross, consisting of a Cross Patte with a ribbed silver frame and blackened magnetic iron core, with a central initial W, the six oclock arm with a reinstitution date of 1914,
