Germany, Wehrmacht. A German Cross In Gold, Light Version With Case, By C.f. Zimmermann Newly Listed topped by a German State(Deutsches Kreuz in Gold mit Etui). Constructed of gilded and silvered cupal with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a double overlaid eight pointed starburst executed with a silvered and patinated finish, surrounding a central silvered disc, overlaid by a black enameled mobile swastika, set within a circular gilded laurel leaf wreath wrapped in ribbon and joined together at the bottom by a plaque bearing a date of 1941, in turn trimmed
