A Braunschweiger Totenkopf Cap Insignia consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac marked with the NATO insignia(Heer Braunschweiger Traditions Totenkopf fr die Schirmmtze). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a Braunschweiger style Totenkopf, the reverse retaining both attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 28 mm (w) x 32 mm (h), demonstrating loss of finish throughout the base metal, a classic example of a traditions badge worn on the visor caps of personnel of Infanterie Regiment 17 and Kavallerie Regiment 13, in better than very fine
