A Rare River Boat Pilot Badge Newly Listed he re-attested for service withA Rare River Boat Pilot Badge badge in silver, (marked 800 on reverse), also numbered 11, 40. 63mm(w) x 55. 54mm(h), weighs 39. 6 grams. Footnote: these badges were worn by the River Boat Pilots whose duties were to guide larger ships through dangerous waters on large rivers in Germany; there were about 5 such rivers (name of the river is at the bottom of the badge), in this case "Elblotse" (of river Elbe). Very rare badge.
