A fine example of a WWI period Model 1870 French Cuirassier Enlisted Troopers Helmet. The helmet consists of a steel body with brass fittings, and black horsehair tail. The original leather lining band is still intact, but shows signs of wear from honest use and storage over the decades. The Helmet features a Tall Brass Cimier with the "Medusa head" emblem to the front. Period Black horse mane on top and back of the
