“It was said he essentially joined the Army when he was six

as part of the German Eighth Army (General of Infantry Oskar Emil von Hutier) and German LI Corps

and there is a bit of minor mothing

and shows that this shotgun saw significant service over the years

These medal bars were put together and worn during parades and other like events, with this soldier only having been awarded the EK2. This bar pre dates the 1930s as it doesnt have the Hindenburg Cross which was awarded to all WWI Veterans. A great piece, ready for further research and display.
