so it is still proud over the lock plate

This marking looks like it may be partial

which we unfortunately are not able to decipher

ARMY FIELD RATION C "B UNIT" can that appears to be stamped on the top of the steel lid 1 42 along with maker code we believe to be National Biscuit Company, but it is difficult to read. The can is in good condition.
