Early 20th Century Mexican Dance Mask with Long Nose and Horns antique mitt Anything would feel special servedThis carved and painted wooden mask an early 20th century Mexican dance mask feels so contemporary to me. In its terrific directness, it reminds me somehow of Plains Indian ledger drawings and shields: just stunning. The matte green, red and black dividing the face into three parts and then banded on the horns could not have been better, and it has only gotten better with age, yielding a really gorgeous surface. The nose and horns are carved from
