19th c. Embossed Tin Canister with Figures, Animals, Houses and More fruits but not notable chips orI believe this was made as a tea canister and dates to the 4th quarter of the 19th century. I've never seen another like it, and fell in love with it for the mix of embossed imagery animating the tin, which reminds me a lot of die cuts as well as learn to draw books of the period, with dog, eagle, dove, house, angel, boat, woman holding what I think is a tambourine overhead, and lots more. Very charming and handy for stashing all sorts of things. 7 5
