After continuing its training in England

This is an excellent original M1938 Beaded Luftschutz Gladiator German helmet

the squadron first moved to the 2d Air Instructional Center at Tours Aerodrome on 24 November

and alerted the troops at 06:00 in the expectation of the boats to be provided by the British XXX Corps

Bearing serial number OL 3160 is a relatively scarce 1943 pattern long branch training rifle dated 1944. These non guns were built in Long Branch, Canada and were a Canadian version of the British Swift Trainer. Reference see "The Lee Enfield" . The final edition by Ian Skennerton page 314. These were built to have the equivalent weight as the No 4 (8. 5 lbs) and had a safety butt plate As per the above reference
