With clear age, I think antique, and I believe the fine gauge wool yarn with which the skin was knit was hand dyed. Perhaps Pennsylvania Amish, I'm not sure, but it has the same sort of sort of special feel as those wonderful wrapped yarn balls. Also reminiscent
