This is an incredible German WWII Kriegsmarine Navy Uniform Group, named to U boat U 998 commander Kapitnleutnant Hans Fiedler. Born Oct 14, 1914 in Wolmirsleben, Saxony Anhalt, Fiedler joined the Kriegsmarine as an Offiziersanwrter (Officer Cadet) in April 1936, and proceeded through the officer candidate training program. By October 1940, he had reached the rank of Oberleutnant zur See, and it was under this rank that
