but while I’m always looking at them (especially antique sailor-made ones of which the Whaling Museum in New Bedford has an extraordinary collection) I’ve never been completely compelled to buy one—until I saw this one

It was quite a coincidence to come upon these the other day--a handful of pencil drawings loose in a notebook dated 1902 and owned by Carlotta Huse

but also appearing a bit curved/slumped through the very thick glass of the globe
