in the same (wonderfully framed out) spot is a tintype portrait of an older woman
relating to making everything from pompoms to fancy buttonholes to pockets
and especially love the three little figures left ashore
I believe it is as a result of that the painting on the exterior does not line up when the threaded egg is closed fully tight
as if they are old friends and this happens everyday
Abstracted Figure(s), Modernist Mid Century Carved Sculpture antique chalkboard in the same (wonderfully framedThis carving, which I purchased from a mostly mid century dealer with a really nice eye, just struck me with every turn it seems just about to resolve into something, like a pair of embracing figures, or a figure carrying a child, but it never quite does and so feels perpetually elusive and dynamic. From a few angles it also really appears as if there are the features of a face, or two, trapped just below the surface, waiting to emerge! 9 1 2 t x 3 3
