Now, the story with this piece is that it came from an RAF WW2 Collection, mostly of uniforms and apparently this charming doll of a W. R. A. F. Officer was knitted as a "self portrait" so to speak by a young lady who was actually posted in one of England's RAF war rooms. This was where a large table map was laid out and reports of incoming bombers were charted for fighter command. (We've all seen these rooms in the
