This is a very nice example of German WWII Kuban Bridgehead Shield, made from brass alloy, which retains its original four prongs, but not the backing plate. This example was removed from a uniform, and no longer has the fabric backing patch and paper covering. The front has a great aged patina with the letters a small bit brighter than the background.
