There does look to be a grafted in wood repair on the left side of the stock

while the other side was left flat

and has had a dummy aluminum cocking handle added to the right side to complete the look

This is very nice condition Silver Grade General Assault Badge with a Solid Back and functional pin. The badge measures approximately 2 1 8" x 1 5 8", and is in very good condition. Like most that we see, this has had the original silver wash almost completely wear away, and now shows an oxidized zinc patina.
