This is a helmet original made for WWI that was reissued and repainted at the outbreak of WW2 for use in the Civil Defense program specifically the United States Citizens Defense Corps Auxiliary Police. It was then repainted and reissued for the City of Detroit Police Department. Overall condition is very good with original paint remaining, a WWII issue canvas chin strap and updated WW2 issue web liner. World War II,
