the original single line address marking is completely gone

but there is also oxidation on the outer service

This is a very good example of a genuine World War I M1915 French Army "Adrian" steel helmet, outfitted for medical personnel. Medical Adrian Helmets are very hard to come by, especially in original unmolested condition. The helmet retains the original "dark horizon blue" paint on the shell, and was not repainted post war. The front of the helmet still has its original French Medical Personnel badge, which has a half
