75 bore and the straight style F pattern bayonet spring catch

This is an all brass skull helmet bearing a large helmet plate to front with a numeral “5" surrounded by a gilded belt embossed with the motto:-

two long wood screws were countersunk into the stock in this location

This mount is pictured in Dolf Goldsmith's book on page 174 2nd edition
