They are however, nearly identical to the WW2 style or pattern M1 steel pot helmet as was used in WWII. These helmets were manufactured by US Government between 1950 and 1980 and some may very well have even seen action during the Vietnam war. The M1 helmet is a combat helmet that was used by the American military from World War II until it was succeeded by the PASGT helmet beginning in
