This is an original World War One era Austrian Hungarian Officers Sword, with a classically ornate half basket guard with traces of original that has gilt finish over brass, and just a touch of verdigris near the ricasso. There is a very nice Austro Hungarian Empire double headed eagle coat of arms on the guard bowl. The wire shark skin grips are intact and in nice shape, and the leather covered steel scabbard is
