and I especially like the look of the shapes when taken out of the board and just assembled on their own

with a steel spinning tip at the end and an inset lighter wood handle

The sculpture sits flat and stands straight

from the period during which they were teaching at the University of New Hampshire

I believe the lid was likely to a paint can it's about that size and of course I love a painting made on whatever happens to be sitting around. A close up view reveals the boaters to be Native American, wearing feathered headdresses, and on the left shore bank, though fairly dark, are a pair of teepees with tall trees behind
