1 1/8" across at lip and 2 1/2" across at base

My guess is that it was used to print directly on the wall in a home though perhaps to make wall paper--whatever the case it would have required some strength and determination to use

and based on others I have had would think first half of the 19th century

and/or in the process of transformation from sea to land

Satisfying Little Thin Walled Tiered Ball in Cage Whimsy marketing 1 1/8" across at lip(Sorry, I forgot to shoot individually; it is the unpainted small one in group shots!) Not an especially old one, but I really love the tiered geometry of this little whimsy, looking kind of like a chair with a roof. Good from every angle and really nice as part of a grouping with a few other linear sorts of things. Approx 4 1 2" t x 1 1 4" wide x 1" deep. Good vintage condition.
