making this is a perfect gift for a favorite chef

but I love how one side of the the mast next to the crank is much worn

with general aging to the surface of the photos and  a patch of surface loss/roughness to the cheek of the boy at left

I am not so sure he embodies a great step forward in terms of technology

Just a charmer of a little thing. 3 3 4" l x 2 1 6" d x 1 9 16" t. One small loss to the edge at the end of the slide, no real matter.
