The first thing I thought upon finding this photo was of the Becher's straight-on photographs of houses and water towers

with hands hovering over the action below as if controlling it

It is made of wood and the bark appears to be real

Two little girls here being held aloft by what looks to me like two women wearing pants, each little girl holding flowers, and with a bird in cage between
