I found a precise match of this wicker covered flask--same exact wicker
ambiguous but highly charged
with a sandpaper finish to the surface of the dark red and dark blue painted frame that of course makes one think of sandpaper (marble dust) drawings from around the same time as this charcoal
clearly somewhere on the water

H Adair of Spring Grove, PA, who signed a few of them and dated a couple 1905. These are the sorts of drawings that get me excited; I couldn't snatch them up fast enough!
