Vintage Solid Brass Oversized Dice rope gauge with what I'm pretty sure

with what I'm pretty sure is its original paint--a dark red overall

These sweet old little wooden stands and ladder were once part of a Schoenut "Humpty Dumpty Circus" set --which is worth looking up as the clowns and articulated animals in the old sets are AMAZING

but making no real sense otherwise

a name carved into the wood at the top of one side

It is signed on the underside but I can't quite decipher the signature

Vintage Solid Brass Oversized Dice rope gauge with what I'm pretty sureI'm not quite sure how old these solid brass dice are but they've definitely got some good years on them, and are quite satisfying things I think, weighing nearly half a pound each, make them perfect paperweights for the desk, where one might also give them occasional toss. It appears they've been thrown around a bit, all to the good I think, and with a nice patina to the brass. 1 1 8 cubed and in very good condition.
