This is a nice example of a wool covered Model 1877 French 2 liter canteen, complete with original leather carry strap and cloth named ID label on the underside of the bottle. The stopper is a wood replacement. Overall condition is good with some wool material loss on one side of the canteen. The Bidon is either a 2 liter or 1 liter canteen, covered with horizon blue or later khaki wool cloth. Both types had two
