and especially love the vertical sequence of child wrapped in the arms of the main figure

to her curls and bow

Vintage Folk Art Yellow Bird, Signed H. Sloan, Maine tall Japanese vase with tree and quite a long timeThis is one of six carved and painted birds I found together, all signed H. Sloan, Maine, and I believe dating to the 1980s or so. I've found a few other birds signed by Sloan out there on the internet, but haven't been able to dig up anything about him, and don't have a first name. Clearly he loved his birds, and his color too. I believe this bright yellow one, with its black eyes and beak, may be a warbler, but am not 100% certain. 4 1 4" long x 3 3
