it's nice for just propping somewhere balanced on its pointy end (it just needs to lean lightly against something) or tie a ribbon around the other end and hang on the wall

I purchased it because I thought it was just a beautiful and curious sculptural object that would look great propped or hanging somewhere

Scarce Antique German "Art of Parqueter" Set victorian drawing instruction it's nice for just proppingI ALWAYS have an eye out for old parquetry sets but only very very rarely do I come across one; to me they're like Froebel kindergarten blocks crossed with color cubes crossed with an old wooden puzzle, and just so pretty. This one I believe dates to the late 19th century and was produced in Germany (for international distribution), and I believe, based on another similar I found a few years ago, would have had two complete layers worth of double
