Offered in truly excellent display condition still retaining heavy blue/black finish and all manufacturer’s maker and model markings which read:

a special location for a spare Cylinder rear plate and comes complete with a wood frame drilled with holes for 60 X

The HJ insignia is also in very good condition with the original plating worn down to the brass base metal

each platoon served four MG 34/MG 42 machine guns

one-piece dark walnut grips are varnished and exhibit normal hand wear from use

This is a fantastic condition, WWI era Imperial German pickelhaube Fire helmet, made with the standard boiled leather body, and all of the fittings look to be very attractive German alloy. These include the fire brigade top comb, the trim for the front and rear visors. The front plate (wappen) looks to be brass, which must have been quite striking when it was brand new. The central plate has a "Winged Griffin"
