Vintage 1941 Whistle Soda Framed Cardstock Ad loose-wiles This piece was designed by1941; Whistle Bottling Co. Vess Soda, St. Louis, MO Vintage framed soft drink advertisement. This piece advertises Whistle, an orange soda invented by Charles Leiper Grigg in 1925 for the Vess Soda company, established in 1916 by Sylvester (Vess) Jones. Both the company and the drink originated in St. Louis, MO. Grigg would later invent 7UP in 1929. Whistle was and still is sold in conjunction with Vess Soda. Exhibits minor discoloration sun fading.
