It is immediately clear that this is a bigger and more powerful wine that possesses outstanding mid-palate density and a huge reserve of dry extract that imparts a seductive mouth feel and mostly buffers the exceptionally firm tannic spine on the massively long finish
Less obviously sweet today than the 2003 (I might have picked this blind as a classic Bordeaux blend including Petit Verdot and cab franc)
