This is an original 1894 halftone print showing a group of singing Fijians at the South Sea Islanders Exhibit. The native residence in the background is a common architectural style among the people. The structure is made primarily of bamboo poles and thatched with cocoa matting, which also adorn the earthen floors. (Please note that, typical of halftone prints, there is printing on the reverse.)
