1893 Chicago Worlds Fair Merchant Tailors Bldg. Gondola ORIGINAL HISTORIC FAIR8 HOK1 JournŽe du Poilu"The Merchant Tailors' Building" This is an original 1894 halftone print of the Merchant Tailors' Building at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. It was erected at a cost of $30,000 raised through the contributions of 37 Merchant Tailors' Exchanges in the U. S. The architect was S. S. Beman. This item also includes a nice image of one of the famous gondolas used on the Exposition lagoons. (Please note that, typical of halftone prints, there is printing on
